At about 1830 Hrs. last night the Riverhead FD responded with over 30 members to Tanger for a dumpster fire. The first arriving unit, chief Brooks, found a fully involved compactor dumpster on fire. Chief Brooks requested that a brush truck to pull the dumpster away from the compactor, and pulled out the cardboard to get to the fire. Flanders FD was requested to stand by Riverhead’s headquarters. A signal 5 was giving about 2030 Hrs.
