On behalf of the Board of Commissioners, Officers and Firefighters of the Riverhead Fire Department, we would like to invite everyone to the Open House, Sunday October 6th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at our headquarters at 540 Roanoke Avenue.
Displays and demonstrations of the emergency equipment that we utilize to protect the lives and property of our friends and neighbors will follow the opening ceremony. Demonstrations will include the jaws of life, the fire prevention trailer, stove fires, a vehicle fire, the use of fire extinguishers, and roof ventilation. Kids of all ages can enjoy the hands use of fire extinguishers and fire hoses. The annual Fire Prevention Poster contest will be on display.
As volunteers, the men and women of our department are proud of our service to the Riverhead community. Please come with your family and friends to show support for your neighbors. Light refreshments will be served.
