| Riverhead Fire Department responded to a Signal 14, vehicle fire, at the FedEx location on Edwards Ave. Chief 6-2-31 was first on scene and reported. Fully involved cab of a tractor trailer. Engine 6-2-3 was first on scene from nearby Station 3. A line was stretched and the cab was attacked from the driver's side. The second due engine, 6-2-1, stretched a second line to fight the fire from the front and passenger side. There were no occupants and the fire was brought under control without harm to the trailer. |
