At approximately 2:50 AM this morning, the Riverhead Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire on River Road in Calverton.

Crews arrived to find an active fire and quickly began suppression operations. Mutual aid engines from Wading River and Jamesport responded directly to the scene to assist our interior and exterior crews.
During the incident, Flanders and Westhampton Beach Fire Departments provided standby coverage at our headquarters, ensuring additional calls in our district were handled without delay.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all departments, the fire was brought under control and all personnel operated safely.

We extend our sincere thanks to our mutual aid partners — Wading River, Jamesport, Flanders, and Westhampton Beach — for their support.
