| Earlier today, the Riverhead Fire Department responded as part of a multi-agency operation to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a Suffolk County transit bus and a school bus in our community.
Riverhead Fire Department members assisted with heavy rescue operations, working to gain access to the vehicles and safely extricate injured occupants. Several individuals, including a child, were transported to area hospitals for further medical evaluation.
