Over the past 24 hours, Riverhead Fire Department volunteers have remained active across multiple incidents throughout the district
.
Hours after operating at a working structure fire in Calverton, crews established a landing zone late last night at the intersection of Route 105 and Northville Turnpike to assist with a medical helicopter transport.

This morning, firefighters responded to a reported gas odor on Commerce Drive while, at the same time, additional crews handled a heavy rescue at Middle Road and Mill Road.

We thank all assisting agencies for their continued support and remain ready to respond whenever needed.
