| The Riverhead Fire Department would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out today to support our Fill the Truck School Supply Drive and help local students prepare for the new school year.
A special thank you to Staples Riverhead for hosting the event and generously donating school supplies, and to the Manorville Fire Department and Manorville Fire Department Auxiliary for working alongside us to make the event a success. We also greatly appreciate Town of Riverhead Supervisor Jerry Halpin and Councilmembers Kenneth Rothwell, Bob Kern and Denise Merrifield for stopping by to show their support and for contributing school supplies to the drive.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, the collected supplies will be donated for Riverhead Central School District students later this week.
