| Today, members of the Riverhead Fire Department joined our community in remembering and honoring those lost on September 11, 2001.
Our members attended both Riverhead Town’s 9/11 Memorial Ceremony this morning and the Sound Park Heights Civic Association’s annual candlelight walk and remembrance ceremony this evening. We were honored to stand alongside fellow first responders, veterans, town officials, and members of our community to pay tribute to the lives lost, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those whose lives were forever changed that day.
Twenty-five years later, we remain united in remembrance and committed to the promise: Never Forget.
