| On Friday, 08/28/09, the Peconic Bay Medical Center officially opened its new addition, and dedicated it as the 'Kanas Center for Advanced Surgery' wing. A reception was held in the new lobby area and there were many hospital board members, and invited guests, in attendance. After numerous speakers thanked all who were involved in this project, all came outside to watch the uncovering of the sign. The Riverhead Fire Department was asked to participate, in helping with the unveiling, using our tower ladder. The following Riverhead Firefighters were on hand; Chief George Woodson, 2nd Lieutenant Kevin Burgess, Ex-Captain Bob Inzalaco, FF James Redmond, and probationary FF's Kevin Moos and Andre Ceckowski. |
