Ferrara Custom Pumper

Engine 6-2-14 is built on a Ferrara Invader custom cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof and seating for six firefighters. It is powered by a 450-horsepower Cummins L9 engine with an Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission.

The apparatus is equipped with a Hale QMAX single-stage pump rated at 1,750 gallons per minute and a 750-gallon L-shaped water tank. The tank design provides room for a lower hosebed, allowing firefighters to deploy and repack hose more easily.

Additional features include a front-bumper jumpline, an Akron Hi-Riser deck gun, a rear-compartment booster reel, rescue-style compartments, externally mounted ground ladders and a Whelen LED warning and scene-lighting package.
