On Sunday night, at 9:07pm, the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps requested our assistance to help remove a patient, from his place of residence for medical reasons, at R&R Mobile Home Park on Route 58 in Riverhead.
First arriving Chief 6-2-32 accessed the situation and requested Heavy Rescue unit 6-2-11 and Support Unit 6-2-9 to exclusively respond. Part of the homes exterior wall was removed and the patient and stretcher passed through to a waiting ambulance.
All units were cleared at 9:49pm.
A boarded-up side door was reopened to remove the patient.
