On Saturday afternoon, at 5:50pm, the Riverhead Fire Department was activated to a Signal-13, reported smoke in the basement, on Raynor Avenue.
First arriving units found both the first floor and basement to be filled with smoke. Further investigation found that the homes oil burner had misfired, which caused a puff-back. Multiple fans were set-up to exhaust the smoke out of the house.
