On Saturday July 20th 2013 Riverhead Ironmen hosted their 27th Annual Drill Team Tournament. It was a hot steamy day. There was an excellent turnout from teams as far as Roslyn Fire Department of Nassau county. The seats were filled and the snack stand was very busy providing hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. There were 20 teams participating in the tournament. Equipment was parked all over the place and teams were looking for some shade from the sun. Thanks to the Exempts for their help at the entrances, good job by the kitchen crew and our grill men. The track crew was very busy during and between events. The Officials made sure the events ran smoothly. The Ironmen looked good, lots of new faces, many new probies are bring new blood to the team. A big thank you to Westhampton Fire Department and Flanders Fire Department for the standby during the event.
