| Late last night/early this morning our crews responded to a mutual-aid call to assist the Wading River Fire Department after a fire broke out just before 2:00 a.m. at Pazzo Wood Fired Pizzeria in Wading River Square (Route 25A).
The pizzeria sustained fire damage to both its interior and exterior, and neighboring businesses suffered smoke and water damage. We’re proud to have joined the response effort alongside teams from Ridge, Middle Island Fire Department, and Rocky Point.
The fire was brought under control and the scene was turned over to the Fire Marshal and the County’s Arson Squad for further investigation.
Our thoughts go out to the business owners and employees affected by the incident — we know how much your community support means and we stand ready to help you get back on your feet.
Thank you to all of our firefighters and mutual-aid partners who worked through the night to protect life and property. Your dedication shows the strength of our fire service family. |
