Today, members of the Riverhead Fire Department stood by throughout the snowstorm and will continue to protect and serve the community through the night. During the standby, our volunteers responded to several automatic alarms and one working vehicle fire on Railroad Avenue.
At the car fire, we operated alongside the Riverhead Police Department and Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance. We appreciate their assistance on scene and thank Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance for providing the photos from the incident. The scene was subsequently turned over to the Riverhead Town Fire Marshal’s Office.
As always, thank you to our members for their continued dedication—especially during challenging weather conditions.
