On Wednesday, August 26, the Riverhead Fire Department responded to a rollover motor vehicle accident on the Long Island Expressway. RFD crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and perform extrication operations while EMS personnel provided patient care. We would like to thank the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps (RVAC), Riverhead Police Department, Stony Brook Hospital EMS personnel, and the responding aviation crew for their assistance and cooperation on scene. Strong coordination between all responding agencies helped bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
