On Tuesday, 08/19/09, the RedBird Hook & Ladder and the Fire Police Patrol held their annual joint company family outing to a Long Island Ducks game, at Citi-Bank Park in Central Islip NY. On this night the Ducks were to be hosting the Bridgeport Blue Fish. The weather was good, it was a little windy, but most importantly, no rain. Before the game we had a quick BBQ at headquarters (thanks Joe!) and left for the stadium at about 6PM. Turnout was pretty good and there were no extra tickets to be found. Everyone seemed to have a good time, and the kids sure had their fair share of ice cream, soda, popcorn and cotton candy. The visiting Bluefish scored first, and it was back and forth for the first few innings, but the Ducks prevailed and ended up winning the game 7 to 4.
