At about 10:30PM on 09/26/09 the Riverhead Fire Department was called out for a heavy rescue on Old Quogue Road in Riverside. The Hurst 'Jaws-of-Life' and 'O-cutter' tools were used to free the driver, by removal of the cars roof and doors. The victim was first transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center, and then transferred via 'MedEvac' helicopter to Stony Brook University Medical Center.
